Jan 8, 2024 · The biggest house in Skyrim that you can buy is Produspire Manor. Proudspire Manor is a three-story house in Solitude purchased from Falk Firebead. The base price of the house is 25,000 gold, although it amounts to much more if all optional upgrades have been purchased.
Mannequins may "move" around the house. The Official Skyrim Special Edition Patch, version 1.6.629, fixes this bug. The Unofficial Skyrim Patch, version 1.2.4, fixes this bug. Giving or taking things from the mannequin will reset it to its normal position. Armor removed from a mannequin may end up duplicated back onto it. See Glitches.
If you have Anniversary Edition, the biggest house by far is Nchuanthumz. Its cost, like several other AE homes, is nothing - you just have to complete a quest and then the home is yours. My guess is, you could probably fit 3 or more fully built Hearthfire homes inside of it and still have room left over.

It is located between the Bards College and Vittoria Vici's House and is near the Blue Palace. There are a number of harvestable plants outside, including dragon's Tongue plants, hanging moss and blue mountain flowers. There are three entrances to the manor; one provides direct access to the basement and crafting stations while both the other entrances lead into the second floor and the main reception area.

Once purchased and prior to purchasing any of the upgrades the property is far from empty. It is dirty and dusty with cobwebs throughout. Oddly enough, there are no apparent downsides to using the manor as a home without officially buying it but instead using the stolen Fletcher's key to open the back door.
