    If you applied for a Social Security number (SSN), you should receive a Social Security card in about 2 weeks. However, you may want to check your application status after 14 days have passed to see what’s taking so long. While this may tad confusing at first, rest assured that you have plenty of ways to get to the bottom of this. In this article, we’ll walk you through everything you can do to figure out what’s going on with your Social Security number application.

    Contact the SSA at 1-800-772-1213 if it's been more than 4 weeks since you applied. Applications are usually processed within 2 weeks.
