      • For now, the only well-known options are Apple Mail and Outlook. Update your mail app of choice in the App Store.   1. Dec 30, 2016 · You should be able to add the mail independent of being signed into iCloud in System Preferences/iCloud. If you go to System Preferences/iCloud uncheck all syncing except for Contacts. You can also set that in System Preferences/Internet Accounts. That should stop a lot of other things from syncing.
