    • The Snaffle Bridle. The most commonly used type of bridle is the snaffle bridle, which is used all over the world in a variety of applications. Its design combines a halter and a bridle, using quick release snaps that attach the bit to the cheekpieces, allowing the bit and reins to be easily removed while keeping the horse restrained at all times.
