Plano Civic Chorus seeks to educate, engage, provoke, and inspire listeners through creative programming of a wide variety of styles, and audiences enjoy beautiful music from nearly every genre and period. The inclusion of female and underrepresented composers, as well as featuring local and emerging talent, is part of PCC’s commitment to increasing representation in the choral repertoire.
The Plano Civic Chorus is a 90+ member auditioned choir who performs timeless choral masterpieces and exceptional modern works. Repertoire comes from diverse genres and historical periods, including classical, Broadway, folk music, gospel, jazz, opera, sacred music, and contemporary works.

The chorus, chartered in 1972, draws audiences and vocalists from across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and is the choral performance partner of the acclaimed Plano Symphony Orchestra. Plano Civic Chorus is funded in part by the City of Plano, the City of Richardson through the City of Richardson Cultural Arts Commission, TACA (The Arts Community Alliance), and the Texas Commission on the Arts.
