The red room, also known as "the waiting room," was an anomalous extradimensional space connected to Glastonbury Grove in Twin Peaks' Ghostwood National Forest. First discovered as early as the 1800s, the red room was believed by many to be the Black Lodge of local Native American legend.

Inside the red room we see things from what we call the black lodge and (sometimes) the white lodge. Like the room above the gas station, the red room is a space of transition. A waiting room. A place in between.

- THE BOOKHOUSE BOYS. The Bookhouse Boys are a do-good secret society. Members include the town sheriff and deputy, as well as Cooper as an honorary member.
- DEATH BAG. “Mike, can you hear me?” says Killer BOB. “Catch you... with my death bag!” As with many things David Lynch, a death bag sounds pretty scary, although it’s not clear what it is.
What it leads to is the Red Room, which is commonly called the Black Lodge. However, there has been implications that the Red Room isn’t the core Black Lodge, but a ’waiting room’ as the MFAP calls it.
