Come, learn, teach your children about a history of another culture and generation. Open from the May Long Weekend until Thanksgiving weekend in October; Tuesday to Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (gate closes at 3:30 pm). Bring your picnic basket and lawn chairs. Ample free parking for groups and buses. Located on Highway 26, approximately 2 miles west of Collingwood on the shores of Georgian Bay.
Sheffield Park Museum now became Sheffield Park Black History & Cultural Museum. The museum includes pioneer life and times, the social networking of a community and the preservation of past generations. Howard Sheffield's dream was to keep the events of the past visible so we, and future generations, would never forget.

Offers guided/self guided tours describing the accomplishments of founding Black pioneers and their contribution to Canadian society.
Feb 10, 2020 · It was Sheffield’s nieces, Carolynn and Sylvia Wilson, who were inspired by the photos, and their uncle’s passion for oral history and black pioneers to the area. Together the three created the museum. The Wilson sisters, who were born and raised in Collingwood as seventh-generation Canadians, are the owners and operators of the museum.
