May 10, 2023 · Te Tauihu Intergenerational Strategy, launched in November 2020, saw iwi, local government, business and the community focus on the social, cultural, environmental and economic development across the Top of the South. The strategy aims to be a blueprint to guide collaborative efforts to prioritise the wellbeing and economy of the Top of the South.
Te Tauihu Intergenerational Strategy was initiated to create an intergenerational vision and address the challenges being faced by the region. By developing a collaborative leadership model that brought together eight iwi, three council’s, and other stakeholders across the region, we were able to create a narrative and unifying platform for the region that had not previously existed.

It was provided to the community of Te Tauihu (including business, Māori, local and central government, other agencies etc.) in DRAFT with an opportunity to provide feedback by 28 February 2020. All feedback was collated and considered, and the Steering Group of the Te Tauihu Intergenerational Strategy has approved the FINAL Strategy for publication as at November 2020.
