The Washington State Law Enforcement Memorial Names Committee (Committee) is established with nine members. The Committee must determine which names of fallen law enforcement officers will appear on the Washington State Law Enforcement Memorial (Memorial) on the capitol campus. Each of the following entities may appoint one member of the Committee:

May 7, 2024 · A monument dedicated to law enforcement K-9’s is part of the memorial. Each year during National Law Enforcement Week, the names of those officers who have died during the previous year in Washington State are added to the monument. As of 2023, the names of 363 officers and 27 K-9’s are engraved on the memorial.
