Sheffield Park Black History & Cultural Museum. An incredible collection of the history of black people from Africa to the west. A beautiful labour of love curated by these 2 sisters to show the story of resilience and excellence of blacks. A MUST visit when near Collingwood and Thornbury, ON.

Location. Come, learn, teach your children about a history of another culture and generation. Open from the May Long Weekend until Thanksgiving weekend in October; Tuesday to Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (gate closes at 3:30 pm). Bring your picnic basket and lawn chairs.

This is a great way to spend a couple hours, for anyone interested in not just black history but local and settler life in general, or even for those just wanting to take a walk in nature. For a low admission cost, we toured the museum with all of its outbuildings and tons of artifacts.
