Turnitin is an online tool which your department might ask you to use, to submit your assignments. Turnitin has features for online submission, online marking and feedback, and for helping lecturers check that the assignment is original.
Turnitin® is a text matching tool that works by comparing your written assignment with a database of web pages, academic books, and articles, as well as other students’ papers. After comparing your assignment to the database, Turnitin® generates a similarity report for your submission.
Click on Resources, Select Self Registration, and then Click on TurnItIn Submissions Online Resource. Remember that resources, services, and staff to assist with research, writing, and citing are available through the Library Learning Commons (fanshawelibrary.com).
