From downtown Orlando, the best way to get to CityWalk is to take Interstate 4 to either the Kirkman Road or the Adventure Way exits. From the Orlando International Airport, guests should take the Beachline Expressway (528) west to Interstate 4, then head east (it’s actually north in this area) to the Universal Boulevard exit.
Jun 13, 2024 · CityWalk was first introduced in 1995 as part of Universal Orlando’s expansion that would also bring Islands of Adventure and on-site hotels to what was then just Universal Studios Florida. Originally dubbed the Entertainment Zone or “E Zone,” the entertainment complex would offer shopping, dining, and clubbing opportunities for tourists and locals alike.
