    • Sound Forge Pro – Great for sound engineering. For many users, this program has been the go-to audio editing software of choice for almost 30 years. Many sound engineers and producers across the globe use it because of its vast set of professional capabilities.
    • NCH WavePad Audio – Most basic audio recorder. NCH WavePad Audio is a recording program with many valuable features included in the free version. Its UI may not be as pretty as many others on this list, but it’s simple to set up and use.
