I'm sure Atari is in no position to price it any cheaper, but for everyday folks who aren't diehard Atari fans the Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series S, and PS5 Digital are all a far better value. However, ignoring the price point, the VCS console is a great piece of hardware.
But there are a lot of games in the $50-$150 dollar range, like the Atari Club exclusives, the Coleco Kid Vid games, some of the later Activision games and some of the games from smaller publishers like Tigervision.

May 17, 2024 · Just did a video to reflect about the Atari VCS on the market for 3.5 years. I just missed the announcement that it will be on sale though Memorial Day. Feel free to share your opinion about it.
