In the long-term, global oil demand increases by 13 mb/d, rising to 110 mb/d. OECD oil demand is on a declining trajectory after 2024, falling to 34 mb/d by the end of the forecast period. This represents an overall demand decline of almost 11 mb/d between 2021 and 2045.
Global oil demand is set to increase by more than 16 mb/d, moving from 99.6 mb/d in 2022 to 116 mb/d in 2045. The 2045 level is 6 mb/d higher than that seen in the WOO 2022, and has the potential to move even higher.
