- Shop At and Sightsee Around Zhou Ancient City. The city's most popular foreign tourist attraction (according to TripAdvisor 2016) is a shopping and sightseeing area where old buildings and narrow streets have been preserved.
- Hike and Sightsee on Mount Tai. Mount Tai has numerous old temples and structures along with many waterfalls. Claim to fame: For bygone dynasties, the first thing for an emperor to do after becoming emperor was to climb Mount Tai and perform ceremonies.
- Climb Mount Yuanshan. In the summer, this scenic area's (鳶山 in Chinese, Yuānshān, Kite Mountain) verdant vegetation is one of the highlights. Another draw is the view of Baoshan district and the plain of the city from high above.
- Hike in Lushan National Forest Park. Click to enlarge the Qi State "Great Wall" map showing Lushan's position. Lushan National Forest Park is out in comparative wilderness almost two hours south of Zibo and distant from other urban areas.
- Zhoucun Ancient City. The Chinese are known for their fascination with the ancient and traditional and the Zhoucun Ancient City offers just that, with a glimpse into ancient Chinese culture through its historic buildings and narrow streets.
- Mount Tai. Mount Tai was popular with ancient Chinese emperors and leaders, who would climb the mountain and perform ceremonies here. The area is also popular as a pilgrimage site and the Taishan international Climbing Festival is held in the area, making it a paradise for trekkers and nature lovers.
- Mount Yuanshan. This is a mountain in the scenic area of the city and it is lush with green vegetation, making it well known as a green hill in the city.
- Lushan National Forest Park. Editor’s note: There’s no photo available at the time of writing. The Lushan National Forest Park area of the city is in the complete wilderness and offers some wild national park encounters, similar to the ones in the West.

You can visit ancient buildings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368 - 1912) and time-honored shops in Zhoucun Ancient Commercial City as well as appreciate fine ceramics in the Chinese Ceramic Museum.
