The mgex is a stunner, but funnily enough, seeing the MG in comparison does make me want to get it. End of the day, comparing the two would be unfair, mgex is meant to be a pure expression of detail, while the MG gives us what we saw in the anime in a more refined way at 1/100 scale.

The best 1/100 in my book. The quality is amazing. The manual is very clear, concise, it even describes the color and order the parts are snapped together. Nothing about building it was frustrating. I want more MGEX and the Unicorn is in my cross hair.
