    As with the rest of the state, the Green Mountains are the dominant feature of central Vermont, with multiple smaller, parallel ranges descending on either side toward the Champlain Valley in the west and the foothills and Connecticut River Valley in the east. We haven’t done as much hiking in this region, but these are our favorites so far!
