Jul 30, 2024 · What are Flanged immersion Heaters? Flanged immersion heater, such as the FH Series, are robust heating elements designed for efficient heat transfer in various applications. They come with “U” bend tubular heating elements, which are welded into a standard ANSI pipe flange.
DESCRIPTION. Flanged immersion heaters consist of hairpin bent tubular elements welded or brazed into a flange and provided with wiring boxes for electrical connections. Flange heaters are installed by bolting to a matching flange welded to the tank wall or nozzle.
Immersion Heaters are built with tubular electric resistance elements soldered or welded to an ANSI flange, custom fabricated rectangular flange, or NPT pipe thread fitting. The heater can be installed in holding/storage tanks or in the piping of circulating fluid systems. Instructions for Industrial Control Panels are provided in ENM - 2179.

These thru-the-side immersion heaters utilize standard pipe fl anges ranging from 3 to 14" nominal pipe diameter to support high tank pressures of superheated steam, compressed gases or liquids. They are installed through a matching companion fl ange (obtainable from local industrial supply houses) to the tank wall.
