His son (Corrado) and grandson (Daniele) have continued the restaurant’s tradition serving classic Parmigiano specialties for the past 50 years at the restaurant’s Oltretorrente location.

    • National Archaelogical Museum. To kick off your one day in Parma, we’re going to start inside, at the historic National Archaelogical Museum. Housed inside the Palazzao della Pilotta, the museum is also home to the National Gallery and Library.
    • Check out the National Gallery. Interconnected with the Archaelogical museum, the Galleria Nazionale (National Gallery) is home to some of Italy’s most famous artists’ works.

    • Trattoria Corrieri. The original sign cherishes the atmosphere of the old trattoria where couriers used to stop to eat and let horses rest. A few centuries later, Trattoria Corrieri still feeds locals and travelers with traditional recipes.
    • Osteria Virgilio. Virgilio Buratti since 2003 resists. He resists against the trendiness of food in a neighborhood where resistance sill has real meaning.
