Oct 3, 2023 · 7. Balto (1995) ‘Balto’ is an animated adventure film directed by Simon Wells that is loosely based on the true story of an eponymous dog of the same name. A terrible diphtheria epidemic hits the isolated Alaskan town of Nome. The locals decide to send a sled-dog team because the life-saving medication is hundreds of kilometers distant.
The movies take place in a different universe than the TV shows. That's the reason why we have a Paw Patroller, but no Robo-dog. Why the meteor uses crystals to power the pups instead of the meteor itself powering the pups. While it is true that they brought Liberty into the TV show, and somehow the pups knew her, but that's something else.

is the first theatrical film based on the PAW Patrol franchise. The film was released on August 20, 2021. It was first mentioned in Spin Master's First Quarter 2019 Earnings Conference Call.
On November 8, 2019, Mikros Animation announced they would produce the film.
On February 21, 2020, The Wrap confirmed that it will be released in August 2021.
On April 25, 2020, NickALive reported that it is scheduled to be released on August 20, 2021.
In Adventure Bay, a truck driver named Gus drives passing through when his truck crashes while trying to avoid a baby sea turtle and hangs over the town's suspension bridge. Cap'n Turbot comes across the scene while preparing to move the Flounder to another spot. The truck driver tells Cap'n Turbot to call the police or the fire department. Cap'n Turbot explains that in Adventure Bay, they call the PAW Patrol instead. He calls Ryder, who sends the PAW Patrol pups, Marshall, Rubble, Chase, Rocky, Zuma, and Skye, into action. After Rocky and Zuma putting the perimeter around the bridge, Chase successfully manages to save Gus, revealing his truck is leaking maple syrup instead of gas, Rubble then breaks out the pancakes and waffles. Chase and Ryder bring the baby sea turtle back to its family on the beach.
Meanwhile, in Adventure City, a dachshund named Liberty convinces a man on the subway to not litter. When she makes it into the city square, Liberty finds the PAW Patrol’s arch-nemesis, Mayor Humdinger has just been elected Mayor after the other candidate mysteriously dropped out of the race, leaving Humdinger as the only name on the ballot. Knowing of Humdinger's infamous wrongdoings in the past, Liberty contacts them to come to Adventure City to help keep its people safe from him. However, Chase initially refuses to go and leaves, Ryder reveals to the others that Chase has a "history" in Adventure City; as a young pup, he was abandoned in the city by his previous owners, leaving him alone and afraid in such a big place. Afterwards, Ryder meets up with Chase, who was sitting alone by a tree. Ryder convinces him that everything will be fine as Chase reluctantly agrees that he trusts him. The PAW Patrol heads on a road trip to Adventure City.
On a rainy day as Ryder and the pups are settling into their new headquarters, Humdinger and his two security guards, Butch and Ruben, go to a meteorology laboratory where he insists on testing out the Cloud Catcher, a device designed by Dr. Kendra Wilson to collect clouds for research. Later that night, Humdinger is giving a fireworks display to celebrate his election, but the show goes awry and Ryder and the pups suit up to respond. Unfortunately, they get caught in a traffic jam for a moment, but Liberty sees them and helps to get them to the site. Humdinger is enraged that the PAW Patrol has come to Adventure City, since he was trying to get away from them, and leaves to go to his office.
As Chase puts a perimeter while Marshall and Rocky extinguish the fireworks, Chase then sees some citizens trapped on a balcony and uses his parachute down to rescue them, but he forgets to take off his parachute and gets blown over the railing by a wind gust. Ryder sees Chase in trouble and has Marshall put out the fire on the balcony so the citizens can lower Chase down to Ryder. After learning that the PAW Patrol's arrival in Adventure City on the news broadcast by Adventure City News reporter Marty Muckraker, an infuriated Humdinger instruct Butch and Ruben to capture the PAW Patrol. Soon at night, Chase could not fall asleep when his friends are sleeping and kept dwelling on his mistake while the next morning, Liberty reveals her first time helping her heroes like she is an honorary member of the PAW Patrol when she ever dreamed.
The next day, Humdinger unveils a loop-de-loop extension he has designed for a subway train, which breaks down and leaves the train trapped at the top of the last loop. As the PAW Patrol arrives, Rocky and Skye brace the track and Rubble stabilizes it with quick-dry cement while Ryder sends Chase up to rooftop and uses his zipline to the train cars so the passengers can be saved, but he ends up freezing due to his fear of heights and Skye has to save him while Marshall uses his ladder to rescue the passengers. After the rescue is finished, Ryder advises Chase to take a break, but Chase becomes heartbroken by accusing him of breaking his trust and runs away after hurting Ryder's feelings in response, only to be captured by Butch and Ruben, and taken to Fuzzy Buddies obedience school which Humdinger has turned into a dog pound where he meets his fellow inmates Delores, Barney, Harris, and Rocket.
While Liberty helps Ryder search for Chase, they discover from a shop owner who knows her that numerous dogs have vanished recently and link it all to Humdinger since he hates dogs. To help save Chase, Liberty gives Ryder her advice that she deliberately gets herself captured by knocking over a stage piece during a live interview of Humdinger. She is taken to the obedience school and comforts Chase while telling him that even heroes get scared from time to time as they push through and kept going before revealing she had Ryder and the rest of the PAW Patrol follow her in order to break into the obedience school and set the other dogs free. The PAW Patrol is heading away from the obedience school and decides to split up.

On November 3, 2021, it was announced via PAW Patrol’s social media that a second theatrical movie called "PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie" is being released on September 29, 2023.
