Jul 26, 2023 · We are told in Ezra 1:6–11 and 5:14–17 that most of the First Temple implements stolen during the Babylonian conquest of Jerusalem in 597 BCE were eventually restored. But even those vanished after the Romans captured Jerusalem and plundered the Second Temple in 70 CE.
