Stephen Hawking believed that there is a "grand design" to the universe, but that it has nothing to do with God. In 1988, he spoke of God in his groundbreaking book A Brief History of Time, and said that if physicists could find a sound “theory of everything” they would understand “the mind of God.”

If there's no god, then you can simply live your life however you like, and that's fine. You make your choices because they are what you want or don't want, and not because a hypothetical deity will reward or punish your choices.
If you think its impossible for a universe to come about by natural processes, then please support that claim with evidence. The point is that natural processes themselves wouldn't exist without God. The physical evidence for that claim is the existence of causality. The universe must have a cause.
