The governing body of a municipality may grant leave with pay not to exceed fifteen (15) working days to a municipal employee who is affected by a presidentially declared national disaster in Oklahoma after May 1, 1999, if:

The provisions of this section shall not affect the minimum number of vacation or sick leave days, whether paid or unpaid, authorized by a municipality for its employees as a benefit of employment. Added by Laws 2014, c. 40, § 1, eff. July 1, 2014.
1. Eligible employees who enter on duty or who are reinstated after a break in service shall receive leave benefits in accordance with the schedule outlined below. Leave shall be accrued based upon hours worked, paid leave, and holidays, but excluding overtime, not to exceed the total possible work hours for the pay period.
