  5. "Paint It Black" was recorded March 69, 1966, at RCA Studios in Hollywood. The session was produced by Andrew Loog Oldham, who had been working with the Rolling Stones since 1963 and played an instrumental role in shaping their sound and image—and arguably more of the latter than the former.
