Growing steadily, it incorporated in 1988 and became a non-profit organization. In 1991, with the support of a dedicated Board, the School moved to a larger facility. Between 1996 and 1999, three additional classrooms were added to accommodate increased enrollment. In 2001, Wheatley moved to a beautiful large building on Scott Street.
The school is organized into three divisions: primary (Age 2 to 6), lower elementary (Grades 1–4) and upper elementary (Grades 5–8). Our 20,000 square foot facility boasts spacious classrooms, an extensive library, renovated gymnasium, state-of-the art Mac computer lab and wireless network.

He played as doubles partner with the legendary Arthur Ashe and later was Ashe's attorney. Also a basketball star at Wheatley, Nagler--at 5'8"--went on to have a unique UCLA athletic career, playing for iconic hoops coach John Wooden's teams in 1958 and '59.
