Feb 17, 2021 · On April 24, 2021 the Royal College of Organists will be hosting interNational Organ Day, an online celebration of organists as one global family. The event will be webcast live from London, UK and will feature live performances, celebrity guests and a series of videos submitted by organists around the world showing what it means to be an organist in their country, region or town.
Organs, organ music and organists around the world will be celebrated in a week of online broadcasts leading up to interNational Organ Day on Saturday 24 April. With global pandemic restrictions still in place, The Royal College of Organists (RCO) has turned interNational Organ Day 2021 into a fully online event, and made it the culmination of a full week of broadcasts running from 18 to 24 April.
“We hope that interNational Organ Day 2021, together with of all the Organ Week events leading up to it, will help to put this right, inspiring a whole new generation of musicians and enthusiasts to embrace the King of Instruments.” Organ Week will begin with RCO Choral Day on Sunday 18 April, with events including a special Choral Evensong.
