The King will cover all of the events from following plays by William Shakespeare: Henry IV, Part 1; Henry IV, Part 2; Henry V. The first play acknowledged in the tetralogy was Richard II. It’s likely there will be some reference to the former English King but the events of the play will not be adapted in The King.
All of the filming took place in 2018. Principal photography last began on the 1st of June and concluded on the 24th of August. Filming took place across different countries in Europe. Plot: Henry V was King of England between 1413 and 1422. His relatively short reign saw a lot of conflict both within the court and out.
