Our Emergency Department (ED) can be busy and sometimes, to avoid long unnecessary waits, your child’s illness could best be treated at a doctor's office, a walk-in clinic or an urgent primary care centre.
If the symptoms are severe or worsen over time, it makes sense to take a child to urgent care or the ER. The doctor should take a thorough account of what happened and evaluate their symptoms.
