In the 1980s, Battlezone was ported to the Apple II, Atari 2600, Commodore 64, VIC-20, IBM PC compatibles, ZX Spectrum, and later the Atari 8-bit computers and Atari ST. The ports to non-Atari systems were from Atarisoft. The ZX Spectrum version was published by Quicksilva.

Released in 1983 on DOS, it's still available and playable with some tinkering. It's an action game, set in an arcade, sci-fi / futuristic, shooter, tank and vehicular combat simulator themes and it was released on Arcade, Atari 2600, Atari 8-bit, Commodore 64, VIC-20 and ZX Spectrum as well.
