Grossmont High School, the second oldest school in San Diego, was founded in 1920. Over the years, we've updated our buildings, creating a beautiful, modern campus with state-of-the-art facilities. Our Photography & Digital Arts classroom, room 225, was built in 2016 and our students wanted to reference our incredible space.

Today, the old castle on the hill houses the administration for a whole district of a dozen high schools, when once it was one of the first true public senior high schools in the county, behind San Diego’s own stone-and-fig-covered castle, Russ High.
