May 31, 2024 · In most cases, characters must be level 80 to receive Empyreal Fragments from chests. Dungeons and some jumping puzzle chests (primarily those in level 80 zones, such as at Searing Ascent) award fragments regardless of level. It may be a boss chest, a jumping puzzle chest, random chests scattered through maps, dungeon chests that spawn after bosses, etc. As long as it's a physical chest, it will most definitely have some crystals if you are level 80, and some even if you aren't. It doesn't even have to be called 'chest'.
