This is the Official Group for the Scott County Mississippi Genealogical and Historical Society. Welcome to the Group!!! Meetings are 3rd Saturday In January, April, June, and September,10:00-11:45 in the conference room of the Forest Public Library.
Overview of Scott County Records. Scott County was created in 1833 from the Choctaw Cession. Birth records in 1912 to the present, marriage records for 1926 to the present, and death records for 1912 can be obtained from the Mississippi State Department of Health.
