It is important to keep in mind three things when seeking to understand the biblical concept of tithing: 1) “ God loves a cheerful giver” –2 Corinthians 9:7. 2) Believers are not commanded to pay tithes because God needs our money. 3) Biblical stewardship is more about putting God first than giving God one-tenth of our income.
