Leschyshyn played junior hockey for the Lethbridge Hurricanes and Regina Pats in the Western Hockey League, serving as captain of the latter in 2018–19, and previously played in the NHL for the Vegas Golden Knights. He also played in the AHL for the Chicago Wolves and Henderson Silver Knights.
Leschyshyn’s came on November 13th as he knocked the puck through Thatcher Demko’s five hole to give VGK a third period, 4-3 lead over the Canucks. Earlier in the contest, Leschyshyn also earned his first NHL point assisting on Reilly Smith’s second period tally.
