The young man left Jesus sad, because he was very rich. He chose this world’s treasure and so did not lay up treasure in heaven. He was unwilling to make Jesus his treasure.
- We Need a New Heart. To desire the things of heaven, we need a transformed heart that values Jesus more than an abundance of wealth and possessions. The heart is deceitful above all things (Jeremiah 17:9).
