Jul 15, 2024 · The English Standard Version (ESV) is a relatively recent Bible translation, first published in 2001 by Crossway. This translation, as James A. Borland notes, is “a revision of the Revised Standard Version (RSV, 1946 NT, 1952 OT). Approximately 9% of the RSV has been modified, so the ESV does not differ greatly from the RSV.”
