Escaping the prison is the main goal for inmates. There are various ways for an inmate to escape the prison, such as using a keycard. Once an inmate escapes, they become a criminal and stay on that team until they are arrested, or switch teams manually.
Note that you can reset your character to respawn at the warehouse, at the cost of any inventory items, to save time walking, but be sure you see a system message saying that you are now on the criminals team, or a banner saying “You’ve escaped the prison. Don’t get caught!”, because if these don’t show up, resetting will simply respawn you back in the prison.
Keycard
1.You need to kill guards until one drops a keycard then pick it up. Each kill will have a 20% chance to get a key card. Do note that sometimes, if the server have lots of lag, a keycard might not be counted as a pickable object. 2.Use the keycard to open the previously unopenable guard doors and find a way out. 3.Alternatively, instead of getting a keycard yourself, you can get a guard or criminal/inmate with a keycard to help you. Note that they may attempt to kill you or arrest you. 4.Try not to get seen by the guards, as they will attempt to arrest or kill you.
The Sewers (PC only)
1.Obtain either the hammer or the crude knife from the yard. (They can only be obtained during yard time or free time). It is recommended to get the hammer, if the guards aren't looking carefully at you, because it can break the toilet faster. 2.Make your way to one of the bottom right cells in the cell block. 3.Equip your weapon and smash the toilet until it has disappeared. (There should be white particles coming out of the toilet). 4.Crawl (by pressing C) through the sewers and then climb up to the surface. 5.Climb up a ladder then jump off the walls to escape.
Bin Clipping (PC only)
1.Go to the cafeteria. 2.Go to one of the bins. 3.Start spamming C in the opening of it. 4.With luck, you'll clip inside the bin then fall into the void. When you die, you'll become a Criminal.
•Team up with other inmates. Teaming with others on your team can be effective against large waves of guards if you are attempting the Guard Area escape.
•Always have a gun in your inventory if you are attempting a glitchless escape. This is helpful against potential campers who will try to foil your escape.
•Don't just use one gun. Even if you own the Riot Police Gamepass, using only one gun will make it exponentially hard to make it out of the guard area safely, you should quickly alternate between rapid-firing guns (like M4A1) and a slow firing but deadly gun (like Remington).
•Don't keep holding out your keycard. Keycards are rather noticeable in this game, and guards may chase after you with Handcuffs or guns and arrest you.
•If there are a large number of guards on the server, don't attempt the guard area escape, unless you are very skilled, or are teaming with other inmates.
•If you have some Robux on you, buy a Prison Life guard outfit (or something similar) to attempt to fool guards into thinking you are one of them (most guards are young and inexperienced, or don’t pay attention too much so it should work). Try not to perform the sewer escape, however, as actual guards cannot obtain a hammer, exposing you.
Once you escape, you can do things such as:
Kill other players: Criminals can kill any player on any team, killing other criminals is only through punching though. It is best to kill exclusively guards unless an inmate attacks you first, as inmates can team up against you if you kill them. It is highly recommended for you to not kill inmates, unless they attack you. If your teammates attack them, try to tell them not to.
Free Inmates (Keycard required): If you happen to obtain a keycard, free inmates while you still have it. Freeing inmates can get more players on your team, but be warned that they may attempt to kill you.
Explore the Map: If you are new to the game, or are just wanting to see if there are any hidden Easter eggs, checking out the map can lead to new discoveries.
5. 2. 3. I decided to put a list of every gun's real name. Super mid starter pistol: M9, somehow only has 10 bullets. As standard has 15, A3 has 17 and flush high-capacity has 18. Combat pistol: M1911, never used it but probably holds more bullets than it's supposed to hold. Advanced pistol: Glock, not sure what varant it is, it looks like a 17 ...
