Patoka Lake is the second-largest reservoir in Indiana with 8,800 acres and one of its best examples of lake ecology. Species that call Patoka Lake home include freshwater jellyfish, bald eagle nesting sites, and river otters.
At 8,800 acres, Patoka Lake is Indiana’s 2nd largest reservoir with rolling topography, heavily wooded areas and deep draws on the surrounding land. The property is home to educational, non-releasable birds of prey including a bald eagle.
Patoka Lake is home to two big marinas with boat rentals and more. One is at the west end of the lake, near the dam. The other one is in the main park area, past the entrance gate to Patoka Lake State Park. Learn More.
