Made of a mix of pork, beef, or lamb, Ćevapi are traditionally served in groups of five or ten with sides such as onions, sour cream, and ajvar (a red pepper spread), and often nestled in a flatbread known as lepinja.
A combination of meats, garlic, and onions is then grilled, and a pljeskavica gets its juicy texture and spicy flavor. The meal is served with a flatbread or pita, but in some restaurants, you can also find it in combination with onions or ajvar (roasted red pepper sauce with garlic and olive oil).
