I am leaning toward mid range size HP bullets of. 150gr-165gr for self defense so it looks like I will be. using either Winchester AutoComp or Accurate ArmsAA#9 or. IMR 800-X.
May 23, 2021 · Posted May 24, 2021. You can load lighter shooting loads (basically .40 S&W) with those fast powders but need to get a slower burn rate powder for the heavier loads. Like many people I use Longshot for most of my full power loads as it is a ball type powder that meters well in my Dillon's and gives good velocity/power.

Dec 31, 2018 · For me the 10mm is at its best pushing 200gr bullets hard. Otherwise buy a 40. So my hunting load is 13.4gr of AA#9 under a 200gr coated WNFP, runs a bit over 1200fps. Same bullet for target but will shoot several diff midrange powders like Unique or PP or even AA#7, run it about 1100fps. Stock Gen3 G20.
