There are a lot of current analog USB joysticks that would have mapped easily to the 5200. Imagine using a dual analog controller for Robotron 2084 or Space Dungeon!

Oct 27, 2022 · If not, unfortunately, the arcade games will be just like existing ports, like Atari Vault, that don't have 4:3 aspect ratio. I remember when Atari Vault first launched and there was no proper support for spinner or trackball, and it wasn't pretty. That was eventually fixed, but there still is no 4:3 aspect ratio.

Probably the best under $100 purchase I’ve made! Here’s the TL/DR: this review is mainly for Gen-Xers.
The Atari 2600 is also known as Video Computer System or VCS. It was Atari's entry into the second generation of video games. The Atari 2600 is a video game console released in September 1977. It's the third console of its generation following the Fairchild Channel F and RCA Studio II.
The VCS 800 would run an emulator to play the games. If you use Altirra, it should be more than fast enough. I find that if you use real atari joysticks/slik sticks/paddles with the 2600 daptor, it seems way more like you're playing on a real atari computer.

Nov 14, 2021 · Since the Pi uses SD cards, you could make stickers/labels for each various systems. I'd choose XBOX controllers. You could go the extra mile and 3d print the small steering wheel that can attach to the controller for use with paddle games. Warlords, BreakOut, Circus, Demons to Diamonds were very popular games and required paddles.
