My browser recommendation is Chrome 360 and the best antivirus is common sense. And also, make sure you patch up the system by installing the post-EOL patches, the unofficial Service Pack 4 (it broke AeroSnap on my system though) and all the updates except the POSReady 2009 ones (I've had issues with them)
