Jul 29, 2007 · The Mansion remained in private ownership for over two centuries, and by 2001, the vast estate had been whittled down to but four of the original 1,000 acres. That year, the Mansion was sold to Baltimore County for future use as a museum and community center. Baltimore County completed exterior restoration of the Perry Hall Mansion in 2004.
