Marcus Anderson is the brother of Agatha Danbury.
Marcus came to Mayfair to visit his sister. On his first day in town, he met Violet Bridgerton when he bent down to pick up her dropped glove. After he'd entered the Innovations Ball, they met again and bonded over their children, though his children were all grown and out of the house. Lady Danbury interrupted and introduced them, informing Violet that Marcus was her brother and he was just visiting. Violet welcomed him to Mayfair and he told her he was enjoying his time there already.
Lady Danbury asked Marcus what the purpose of his visit was. He said he was seeking ladies.
At an event, he approached Violet and they talked about their kids and his sister. He then told her that his first marriage wasn't a love match, but he hoped to find that in his second act. She said she'd had a love match, so that was all she ever knew.
Later in the night, he saw his sister leaving and asked her about it. He had heard about her molding society and asked for her help to find a lady. She asked him to leave him out of her raking about town. He assured her he was pure of heart, but she didn't believe him.
Romantic
He was married until his wife died. It wasn't a love match, but he said he'd grown fond of her.

He has grown children.
