Early Life
Born Soma Anderson in Sierra Leone, she was betrothed at age three by her parents to Lord Herman Danbury, a man much older than her. She was taught to like all of his favorite things and perform all of his favorite songs on the piano. She married him at a considerably young age. Over the course of the union, she would bear him four children, although she would come to loathe and resent her husband.
