I wholeheartedly enjoyed this film. SuperFly is not a remake but a reboot. A now mid-twenties Youngblood Priest exists in a 2018 world with a script that is one half homage to 1970s blaxploitation films like Super Fly but also Black Caesar, Detroit 9000, Shaft, etc. and one half Lethal Weapon style action drama.
