Feb 3, 2021 · The Apostle Paul teaches us to recognize these feelings of “love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, [and] meekness” (Galatians 5:22–23). Promptings from the Holy Ghost are often quiet and subtle. God will rarely shout to try and get our attention.
According to Mormonism, the Holy Ghost is a child of God from the preexistence who does not have a body of flesh and bones, as do Heavenly Father and Jesus. He is the third member of the Godhead who is sometimes described as the Holy Spirit and other times described as distinct from the Holy Spirit. The Encyclopedia of Mormonism explains:
The Holy Spirit gives us comfort, helps us recognize truth, testifies of Jesus Christ, and so much more. Read through these verses from the Book of Mormon that teach important truths about the Holy Ghost.
