The Outsider is a mysterious, morally ambiguous supernatural being, neither good nor evil. He usually appears to people of interest as a plain-looking young man with short brown hair and black eyes, wearing a brown coat, blue-grey pants and black boots.
The Outsider is the "face of the Void", as in he directs it's powers depending on how he wants to. He was put in that position by a cult 4000 years prior to the setting of Dishonored games. Whales of Dishonored are deep sea creatures that exist in the Void and in the real space at the same time.
Within the series, the Outsider is one of many representations of the Void that have existed, and was originally a street urchin before being sacrificed by a cult. Voiced by Billy Lush in the first game, the actor was replaced by Robin Lord Taylor from Dishonored 2 onwards.
