Minecraft Dungeons is an upcoming action RPG with dungeon crawling at the heart of its gameplay loop. That means piles of loot, gear, and weapons, with plenty of monsters to slay on the side. Naturally, you're going to need the right tools for the job. That's where we come in.
Here's a list of all the current armor sets and types we've found so far in Minecraft Dungeons, with an explanation on the types of gameplay and enchants they support. We've split the list by playstyle, although really you can tailor things far more depending on what weapons, unique passives, and artifacts you choose. These are just some guidelines we've thrown in to help you get started.
The Hunter's Armor seems oriented around archery playstyles, with a leather-style design complete with a belt and animal fur neckline. Stats-wise, the Hunter Armor booststhe amount of arrows you can collect, your health, and also boosts your ranged damage in general.
This last aspect makes it a great option to stack with a bow alongside talents that boost your ranged attacks, while weaving in artifact skills that help offset its relatively low defensive features.

The Guard's Armor gives a bonus to health, while also reducing Artifact cooldowns and giving a boost to arrows retrieved. It's an interesting item set that is useful for a general archer-style player, who might be interested in heavily using Artifacts.

Phantom Armor is an archery build that revolves around the use of Souls, and is useful when paired with the Torment Quiver Artifact. It boosts the amount of Souls you receive on kills, while also boosting ranged damage.

The Wolf Armor seems oriented around support-style play, with a shamanistic slant. It creates a weapon damage boost aura for your allies, and also makes your health potions heal them too.
If you wanted to make a character that supports allies in melee range, this could be a great option, stacked with weapon enchants and abilities that spread bonuses to your pals.

Champion's Armor is your quintessential tanking gear, designed for group players who want to hold agro on mobs. This is what you wear if you want to be the front line defender for your group, and it's good to pair with as many defensive Artifacts as possible, since you'll be drawing agro (mobs will target you by priority.)

Dark Armor is a Soul-oriented melee set with defensive capabilities. If you're looking to fight mobs up close and personal with a big two-handed Scythe while using Artifacts like the Harvester to blow up your enemies, this could be the set for you.

Scale Mail is a melee character's best friend, boosting melee damage, damage reduction, and health. Use this if you want to get up close and personal with your enemies, swinging large weapons or tanking hits for your friends.
Combined with defensive enchantments, this could prove to very tanky. You could also switch it up with more aggressive abilities instead, to form more of a berserker-style playstyle.
